Steve Bowden, President
Steve began his work with seniors in 2000 when he opened an assisted living facility in
Auburn, California. After running the facility successfully for 4 years, he decided to start
an in-home care company because he realized that the majority of seniors prefer to stay
in their own homes when given the option. In March 2004, Steve started Heritage Senior
Services. In October 2005, he purchased Help at Home Senior Care and merged the two
companies. “My inspiration to help seniors comes from my belief that every person
has an inherent dignity and worth that does not diminish with disability or age. I am grateful to be a
part of an exceptional team that works together to provide such a valuable service.” In his
spare time, Steve enjoys mountain biking, exploring the American River Canyon and traveling.

own homes. “When my own grandmother had Alzheimer’s disease for eight years, I became
knowledgeable about the disease and was personally involved as a family caregiver.” Veronica
